Visitor Visa Streams
The Visitor visa (Subclass 600) includes several streams, each tailored to the specific purpose of your visit to Australia:
1. Tourist Stream (For Holidays & Family Visits)
Ideal for those visiting Australia for leisure or to spend time with family and friends.

- Apply and be outside Australia at the time of decision.

- Engage in unpaid volunteer work (non-professional roles only).
Special Note for Parents:
Parents of Australian citizens/permanent residents may be granted longer stay periods to support family reunification while awaiting parent visa outcomes.
2. Business Visitor Stream
Designed for business professionals visiting Australia for short-term business activities such as attending meetings, conferences, exploring business opportunities, Negotiate or review reviewing contracts, or joining unpaid seminars or trade fairs.

- No sponsorship required.

Visa Conditions
For all streams of the Visitor visa, regardless of the purpose:
- Period of Stay: You can be granted a visa for up to three, six, or 12 months.
- Multiple Entries: You might be granted a single entry visa (requiring a new application if you wish to return after leaving) or a multiple-entry visa (allowing you to travel to and from Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid, provided your total time in Australia does not exceed the granted period of stay).
- Health and Character: All applicants and their dependent family members must satisfy health and character requirements. This usually includes undergoing a medical examination (within 12 months prior to applying) and providing police clearance certificates from any country where they have lived for over 12 months in the past ten years.
- Financial Capacity: You must have, or have access to, sufficient funds to support yourself throughout your stay in Australia.
- Genuine Temporary Entrant: You must genuinely intend to visit Australia temporarily for the purpose for which the visa is granted.
- Debts to the Australian Government: Any outstanding debts to the Australian government must be repaid or arrangements made for repayment before the visa is granted.
